Tasting Notes
The Tradition is Domaine Grand's Côtes du Jura blend: a mix of Chardonnay and Savagnin, the two principal white grapes of the Jura, expressing the complementarity of the two varieties on the estate's biodynamic limestone and marl soils. Chardonnay brings freshness and fruit; Savagnin adds structure, mineral tension and that distinctive Jura aromatic stamp. Fermented on indigenous yeasts and aged with the same minimal intervention that defines the estate throughout. The result is more layered and complex than the single-varietal Chardonnay, with the Savagnin's character showing in a slight spice, a firmer mineral backbone and a more pronounced finish. On the palate it is dry and focused, with good length. Good with comté, poularde and dishes of the Jura table.
