Sierra de Gredos winery focused on old-vine Garnacha and mountain terroirs.
Las Moradas de San Martín is located in the Sierra de Gredos, west of Madrid, an area known for granite soils and high-altitude vineyards. The project was created to preserve old Garnacha vines that had been at risk of abandonment. Vineyards are farmed organically, with great attention to each individual plot. In the cellar, the team works gently, focusing on balance rather than power. The wines show freshness, texture, and a strong link to the mountain landscape. Old vines play a central role, offering low yields and naturally concentrated fruit shaped by a harsh but beautiful environment.
