Daniele Portinari works in the Colli Berici hills of Veneto, an area shaped by limestone soils and a mild climate. After a career outside agriculture, he chose to focus fully on wine, following a simple and respectful approach. Vineyards are farmed organically, with attention to balance rather than yields. In the cellar, intervention is minimal, aiming to keep the wines clean, fresh, and easy to understand. Local grape varieties play an important role, allowing the wines to express the quiet character of the hills and Daniele’s calm, thoughtful way of working.
